乾隆 Qianlong/嘉慶 Jiaqing Blue & White Tazza

A small blue and white 18th/19th century offering tazza, the saucer body supported on a short ribbed pedestal with splayed foot. The interior decorated with Indian lotus flowers and meandering leafy tendrils in simulated "heaped and piled" effect.  The exterior is painted with a chevron border beneath the lipped rim with pendant ruyi heads and flame. The stem decorated with dotted cross forms and the splayed base with a further lingzhi meander. The base bearing a three character hallmark written in underglaze blue reading, Jie Fu Tang, Hall of Great Wealth, which appears to have been located in Yong An Temple in Beihai (north of the Forbidden City). It was built during the 順治 Shunzhi period.

Height:  2 3/8" (6cm)  Diameter:  6" (15.2cm)
Condition: Excellent, but with an almost invisible 1" (2.54cm) hairline from the rim.
